About the Founder

Clinical Scope
Our Approach
Therapy at The Aurelin Practice is grounded on clinical clarity, contemporary psychological theory, and a specialist understanding of intimacy, sexuality, and relational dynamics. The work integrates psychodynamic, attachment-based, cognitive-behavioural, somatic, and specialist psychosexual interventions. It is structured, collaborative, and paced to support depth without overwhelm.
These approaches are combined thoughtfully, depending on each client’s goals, history, and capacity.

Trauma-Informed Practice
The work prioritises:
• Psychological safety
• Stabilisation
• Pacing
• Nervous system awareness
• Avoiding overwhelm
This ensures clients can explore difficult material without destabilisation.

Inclusivity
The practice is inclusive of all genders, sexualities, relationship structures, and consensual sexual practices. Clients are supported without judgement and within a framework that respects autonomy, diversity, and lived experience.

Collaborative and Transparent
Therapy is shaped around your goals and context. Gloria offers clinical guidance while supporting your autonomy, ensuring the work remains focused, purposeful, and relevant.

Depth With Precision
Exploration is grounded in clear psychological concepts and connected to the client’s lived experience. The aim is not abstract insight, but meaningful, sustainable change in emotional and relational functioning.

Professional Standards
Gloria works in accordance with COSRT and NCPS ethical frameworks, engages in regular clinical supervision, and undertakes ongoing professional development to maintain high standards of specialist practice.

Clinical Boundaries
The practice does not provide:
• Crisis intervention
• Medicolegal reports
• Treatment for severe mental health conditions requiring multidisciplinary or psychiatric care
Where appropriate, clients may be signposted to alternative services.
